Rhythm and Touch

Rhythm and Touch provides students and professional therapists with a thorough introduction to craniosacral therapy, a hands-on approach that gently works with the spine, skull, diaphragms, and fascia to treat pain and trauma as well as support the body's inner healing process. Designed for beginning and intermediate students, the book begins with a series of simple awareness exercises, guiding students in perceveing the craniosacral rhythm, developing a sensitive soft touch, and cultivating a sense of presence and receptivity. Responding to the body's rhythm and movements, students are led through the framework of a basic session, learning how to ease constrictions in muscle and connective tissue that follow the line of the spine from pelvis to neck and head.
