The late R.O. Faulkner began his great work of translating the key religious texts of ancient Egypt with the Pyramid Texts which are also the earliest. He went on to translate the Book of the Dead and finally the much more extensive spells of the Coffin Texts. These three works which cover a period of around two thousand years, are the basis for understanding the religious thought of the ancient Egyptians.
Aris & Phillips are very happy to bring this book back into print.
