Some of the alterations and modifications effected in this edition are enumerated below :-
For every common nae or the drugs, Siddha names are given concurrently in each formula. Amalgamated chapters in the previous edition are split open into new chapters with introductory notes incorporating more details. Glossary of raw materials is thoroughly revised. A conversion table or metric equivalents of unit classical weights and measures of Siddha system approved by ,the Government pharmacopoeal committee and a short glossary or pharmacological terminology are also appended herewith.
